- Analysis: ISD's perform a thorough analysis of instructional requirements, including training goals, audience profiles, and general methodology.
- Design: ISD's develop learning objectives and framework, define prerequisite knowledge sets, and begin initial design of training delivery platform.
- Development: ISD's determine learning activities, define learning methods, and develop instructional courseware content with direct input with the customer and Karta subject matter experts.
- Implementation: ISD's develop course management plans and provide instructor or student training (as applicable), and participate directly in courseware deployment to gauge effectiveness with audiences.
- Evaluation: ISD's participate in the quality control process as well, ensuring that each phase of the courseware is meeting specified goals and that the training is actually effective "on the job."
Karta's Instructional Design Team works closely with the customer throughout all phases of courseware development to ensure that the learning experience is informative, engaging, and rewarding for the learner. By staying involved in all levels of the Courseware Development process, Karta's Instructional Design process guarantees a professional and enduring Training product.
Smart Designs
Keeping the learner interested is one of the most important aspects for any training program. Karta's learner-centered approach to Instructional Systems Design recognizes that different people approach learning in different ways. Our Instructional Designers understand the psychology and techniques that help make the learning process successful, and we design our products with effectiveness of presentation in mind.
Our Instructional Systems Design process lays the foundation for content development and quality. Courseware prototyping ensures that development will proceed in alignment with client requirements and established learning objectives. Process-based courseware production and custom-built templates ensure rapid development. With our focus on learner-centered instructional design, a solid basis in learning theory, and a high level of concern for the individual learner, we are designing courses that are on the cutting edge of computer-based instruction.
