Karta is at the forefront of working with standards compliance organizations to ensure that the courseware we are creating today will meet your needs in the future as well. The Courseware Standards that we apply in all of our custom development can be divided into two main categories: interoperability standards and accessibility standards.
Interoperability standards allow compliant courseware to communicate with most learning management systems. The two primary interoperability standards are SCORM and AICC. The SCORM standard, or Sharable Content Object Reference Model, was developed by Advanced Distributed Learning, and is a widely accepted standards model for courseware development. The AICC standard was developed by the Aviation Industry Computer-Based Training Committee, and also has extensive industry-wide acceptance. Karta has extensive experience developing courseware to both SCORM and AICC interoperability standards, enabling courseware integration with standards compliant learning management systems.
